Rainbow Guardian

Rainbow Guardian is a 501 C3 non-profit charitable foundation that serves the intellectually challenged/developmentally disabled population, including autism.  It’s a charity I hold near and dear to my heart because it was founded by my mother, Teresa Caprio (President), because of my older sister, Toni, who was born with developmental disabilities.  I am Vice President and Director of PR/Fundraising.

Rainbow Guardian’s mission is to provide a loving home, quality rehabilitation, and services to individuals with developmental disabilities who lack the ability to care for themselves, by creating an environment where they can flourish and live their lives while being supported and loved.  In the process, we hope to help relieve the stress and guilt often felt by their families.  We currently own and administrate a residential-facility, Rainbow Guardian Ranch, in Southwest Ranches, FL, which houses up to seven special-needs’ females – ranging in age and disability.

I used my experience while interning at Deco Drive with public relations and applied it to hosting annual fundraising events and efforts with Rainbow Guardian.  My goal is to continuously use my expertise in communications, public relations, the media, and my writing to raise funds and awareness in my community.
