About Samantha
Samantha graduated with a BS in Journalism from Florida International University in 2003. She went on to write and report entertainment scripts for FOX WSVN 7 (DECO DRIVE) in Miami, FL, and OWL Radio at Florida Atlantic University.
A passionate storyteller since childhood — inspired by her poet grandmother — Samantha began writing children’s stories in 2004. Her 18,000-word humorous chapter book, Murphy: The Phat Cat, was published by TouchPoint Press in 2023. She is also the author of the middle-grade fantasy series Rainbow Crystal, with two books published by The Wild Rose Press and a third currently in progress.
Expanding her storytelling beyond the page, Samantha adapted Rainbow Crystal into a feature screenplay and co-wrote Mano Nera, a screenplay based on her Italian great-grandparents. The project has received over twenty-five official selections and won ten awards at film festivals.
She is a member of SCBWI, ISA, Roadmap Writers, Coverfly, and Stage 32.
In addition to her work as an author, Samantha is the creator of Rainbow Crystal Cosmetics, a whimsical, story-inspired makeup line that brings her fantasy world to life through color, creativity, and self-expression.
Samantha lives in sunny South Florida with her husband, Richard, and their two children, Bella and Lorenzo. They share their home on two acres in Davie with a lively mix of pets, from dogs and cats to an exotic desert tortoise and albino iguana. She enjoys reading, watching her favorite movies and shows, working out, writing, spending time with friends, and traveling whenever she can. Surrounded by love, energy, and constant activity, she feels both blessed — and occasionally overwhelmed — by it all.
